K-9 Mold Patrol, LLC, based in Ellicott City, Maryland, is a mold inspection and testing business.  Bronco, a certified Mold Dog®, will precisely locate the source of the mold, giving our customers immediate feedback on the existence of mold and the exact location of the mold source.

After the mold has been detected, we take non-invasive samples and have laboratory analysis determine the specific type of mold.  In most cases, we will have the lab analysis results in a few days.  In all cases, our client will know on inspection day if mold has been detected.  This is different than conventional mold testing, where random samples are taken and the presence of mold is not known until lab samples have been analyzed.  Also, our client will know, on inspection day, the exact location of the mold.  This differs from conventional testing, where the client does not know the exact location of the source.  Since conventional random sampling cannot pinpoint the source, the client may be asked to remediate a large area, for example, the entire basement.

Bottom line:  Our ability to precisely and quickly locate the mold leads to quicker remediation and lower remediation costs

K-9 Mold Patrol, LLC, provides both residential and commercial testing. We can test buildings that are empty, occupied, furnished, or unfurnished.  We also perform indoor allergen screening and are licensed to perform lead inspections in Maryland. For specifics, see Our Services.

Two important questions to ask your canine mold inspector:
  • Who trained the dog and handler? Real "Mold Dogs"® are trained at only one place - the Florida Canine Academy, where the training program was researched and developed. Other dog trainers have attempted to teach dogs to sniff for mold, with varying levels of success. Only the Florida Canine Academy produces true Mold Dogs.®
  • Who currently certifies your dog? Again, only one place, the Florida Canine Academy, certifies true Mold Dogs.
